WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? THE TIME IS NOW!

WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT ARE STOPPING YOU NOW FROM FOLLOWING YOUR HEART, AND THE DREAMS YOU ONCE HAD?

THERE ARE MANY OF US THAT ARE STUCK IN A RUT OR UNFORTUNATE SITUATION THAT WE HAVE NO POWER OVER .WE  DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, OR IF WE DO, WE ARE AFRAID TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.  WE JUST THINK THAT CHANGE WILL COME AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT PUTTING A SERIOUS EFFORT INTO FINDING A SOLUTION.

DO YOU FIND YOURSELF ASKING THESE QUESTIONS?

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO, NOW THAT MY FAMILY HAS LEFT THE NEST?
For starters, you are going to have less expenses, more room in the house, and  less cleaning to do. Oh, joy!....and think of the fun it will be looking forward to them coming over to spend a day or holiday.

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO, NOW THAT I AM RETIRED?
Oh, that's a hard one...let's see, how about doing nothing and relaxing.  Enjoying the rest of your life while you can.  Travel. Do the things you always wanted to do and didn't have the time and doing it while you can.

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO, NOW THAT I AM DIVORCED?
Pick yourself up and start a new life...This could be a sad time for you, or a happy one...How about changing your career or doing that one thing that you always wanted to do, but were maybe discouraged from doing while you were married.  Think of the fun of doing what you want to do now.

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO, NOW THAT I AM WIDOWED?
This is a hard one to answer, because only someone in that situation can fully understand how a person feels.  It is a difficult time in any one's life, whether you are a woman or man...to be alone again, especially if you have had a long and happy marriage.  There is loneliness and with the loneliness, comes the insecurity of having to do everything by yourself.  Asking family or friends to help you make the right decisions can be uncomfortable for you, but until the moment you feel comfortable doing it on your own, it's a great help.

As a women fiction writer, I have stressed the fact in all my books that we should not be afraid to make a change.  We just have to look at ourselves in a different light.  Women have always been nurturers and we always find a solution to problems.  Didn't we raise families without batting an eyelash.  We knew how to take care of our children, and maybe we had to take care of our elderly parents.  We worked hard all our lives.  We all sacrificed to get the things we wanted for ourselves, our spouses and our children.  And maybe some of you are fortunate now to have grandchildren.  How wonderful is that? To be able to say you have grandchildren and to enjoy their smiling faces.

Our life is not over when we get to be a certain age.  I want to stress that to each and everyone of you reading this blog.  We have to make the most of our days here on earth.  Live every day as if it were your last. Do the things you want to do. Don't rely on other peoples' judgement to decide on what avenue you want to take.  Be the wonderful individual you are and express your talents, enjoy your lives, but most of all, believe in yourselves.  YOU GO!
